General council meeting will be held Wednesday July 27th at 7:30 PM. The rosary will be prayed at 7:15.  Nominations for two open positions on the club board will be taken, so come if you are interested in serving as an officer. Refreshments and a social will follow the meeting. 


The Knights of Columbus #4678 of State College & the American Red Cross are holding a blood drive at 850 Stratford DR. State College on Tuesday August 17 , 2016  from 1 PM to 6:30 PM , you can sign up on line at redcrossblood.org or 1-800- RED-CROSS, Walk ins welcome. The Knights of Columbus held its Annual Baby Bottle Campaign to benefit the Gabriel Project. Bottles were distributed  starting Mother’s Day Weekend. Proceeds from this year’s campaign will support 28 babies and mothers. The Gabriel Project is a local pro-life movement offering parish-based pastoral care to women in a crisis pregnancy.


Council 4678 provided much of the volunteers for the aquatics competition at the PA Special Olympics held June 3rd and 4th on the Penn State campus. Each year Knights and their families help at the two-day event.


The Council/Red Cross blood drive collected 42 units of blood in April. Great job!


The Knights of Columbus held their Annual Children’s Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday March 26, at 10:00am at the Knights of Columbus Hall.


The Council held an outreach dinner for people in our community on Sunday February 7.   Meals on Wheels, Mount Nittany Residence, and an outreach group at Calvary Baptist Church partnered with us to provide more than 80 free meals to people in the community. 


The membership committee attended the OLV church ministries fair this month. The council’s works of charity and unity and the benefits of membership were highlighted.  Visit the membership and what we do tab above for more information about the council and how to join the K of C.


The council received two awards at the May meeting. GK Ed Hughes received the 2014-15 Community Service award on behalf of the council. The council was also recognized with the Columbianism award from the State Council.


Grand Knight Ed Hughes received a community service award from the district deputy on behalf at the council at the May council meeting. The award was announced at the State Convention held in Erie PA and recognizes the exceptional community service provided by the members of council 4678
