The Knights of Columbus and The American Red Cross are holding a  blood drive on Tuesday, February 17, 2015 from 1- 6:30 PM. Call 1-800-733-2767 or visit redcrossblood.org to schedule an appointment. First Fish Dinner will be held on Friday Feb 20th.

General Council Meeting Wednesday Feb 25th. The meeting starts at 7:30 PM and the rosary will be prayed at 7:15. We will be voting on the 2015 budget

Latest News:

The KofC-Red Cross Blood Drive on Dec 16th netted 31 units of life saving blood. Thanks to all who help through donation, being there, and prayed for the clients that will receive the LIFE giving gift.

The council received the Star Council Award in 2014. The award is the highest distinction any council can realize and it recognizes outstanding achievement in membership, insurance and service program activities. GK Ed Hughes  received the award on behalf of the council at a ceremony in October.  

New Chaplain: Father Mike Wolfe (OLV) has accepted the position as Chaplain of the council.

The 24th Knights of Columbus race took place October 12, 2014, with proceeds benefitting Schlow Regional Library's Children's Department in State College. The race was organized by the Nittany Valley Running Club. The race raised 860.00 for the library.

The council sponsored a Blood Drive Tuesday October 21st. 31 units of blood, which could help up to 93 people needing blood products, were collected. Our next drive will be on Tuesday December 16th   1:00 pm to 6:30 PM.

The KofC-Red Cross Blood Drive netted 35 units of life saving blood.  35 units help up to 120 people in need of blood products. Next drive Oct 21st from 1-6:30 PM.

The council concluded its inaugural baby bottle campaign to support pro-life activities. The campaign ran from Mother’s Day to Father’s Day. Over 500 bottles were distributed. Proceeds will benefit the Gabriel Project, a local pro-life movement offering parish-based pastoral care to women in a crisis pregnancy.  The return helped 16 mothers and infants.

Teresa Sicree was selected as the 2014 Council scholarship recipient.

The Knights of Columbus, through the Measure-Up campaign, solicited for The Arc of Pennsylvania weekends in May. Brother and Deputy Grand Knight Jim Laughran organized the event.

Lenten Friday Fish Dinners at the State College Knights of Columbus Hall will begin on Friday February 20th and every Friday thru March 27, 2015. Serving from 4:30 PM to 6:30 PM. The menu includes : Fish choices, Baked Plain, Baked Breaded, Beer Battered, Macaroni & Cheese, Stewed Tomatoes, Haluslhki, Cole Slaw, Vegetable , Rolls & Butter, Beverage & Dessert.  Adults  $10.00, Ages 6 to 10 $ 4.50, 5 and under free. Eat in or take out. Public Welcome.


A bus trip to New Haven, CT to visit the Supreme Council headquarters, museum and historic St. Mary's Church is being planned for Saturday March 14th. The trip will include transportation, overnight accommodations, visit to Supreme and Vigil Mass at St. Mary's on Saturday afternoon.  Members of surrounding  councils are welcome to join us!
