The council announces its intent to vote on a motion to approve a 5 year pledge to St Joseph’s Catholic Academy at the next general council meeting. The meeting will be held on  Weds. May 27th at 7:30 PM.

The KofC-Red Cross Blood Drive was held on April 14th.   Thanks to all who help through donation, being there, and prayed for the clients that will receive the LIFE giving gift.

The Knights of Columbus Father O'Hanlon Council 4678 held their annual children’s Easter Egg Hunt on Sat April 4  Children were given treat bags by the Easter Bunny.

The KofC-Red Cross Blood Drive on Dec 16th netted 31 units of life saving blood. Thanks to all who help through donation, being there, and prayed for the clients that will receive the LIFE giving gift.

The council received the Star Council Award in 2014. The award is the highest distinction any council can realize and it recognizes outstanding achievement in membership, insurance and service program activities. GK Ed Hughes  received the award on behalf of the council at a ceremony in October.  

New Chaplain: Father Mike Wolfe (OLV) has accepted the position as Chaplain of the council.

The 24th Knights of Columbus race took place October 12, 2014, with proceeds benefitting Schlow Regional Library's Children's Department in State College. The race was organized by the Nittany Valley Running Club. The race raised 860.00 for the library.

The council sponsored a Blood Drive Tuesday October 21st. 31 units of blood, which could help up to 93 people needing blood products, were collected. Our next drive will be on Tuesday December 16th   1:00 pm to 6:30 PM.

The KofC-Red Cross Blood Drive netted 35 units of life saving blood.  35 units help up to 120 people in need of blood products. Next drive Oct 21st from 1-6:30 PM.

The council worked concessions at the Penn State Blue White Game on April 18th.  Many Knights and family members participated. Approximately 1270.00 was raised and all funds will be donated to the Diocesan Seminarian Fund. 

2015 Knights of Columbus Baby Bottle Campaign to benefit the Gabriel Project. Bottles will be distributed after the Masses May 9th-10th (Mother’s Day) and 16th-17th in the back of the church. The bottles can be filled with loose change, dollars and even personal checks. Bottles will be collected on Father’s Day weekend. The Gabriel Project is a local pro-life movement offering parish-based pastoral care to women in a crisis pregnancy.

Volunteers are needed to distribute bottles after the weekend Masses at OLV church. Please contact Joe (jcr8@psu.edu)
