The next council meeting will be held at 7:30 PM on January 25th. The rosary will be prayed at 7:15 and refreshments will follow. Start the New year off right by attending the meeting!

The Annual Knights of Columbus (KofC) Youth Free Throw Championship for Council #4678 will be held on Sunday, January 29, 2017 at the OLV School gymnasium. Registration will begin at 2:00 pm with the free throw competition starting at 2:30 pm. There is no registration fee and the competition is open to boys and girls age 6-14.   For further information or if you would like to volunteer to officiate or help with registration for either of the competitions, please contact Grier Yartz at gyartz@macrosmith.com

Council 4678 made its annual donation to Voice of Devine Mercy Catholic Radio in December to sponsor an entire month of broadcasting. 

Due to the generosity of one of its members, Council 4678 purchased and distributed 750.00 worth of heating fuel assistance, a Christmas dinner for a family and almost two hundred dollars worth of grocery store gift certificates to Catholic Charities in Bellefonte. Thank you to the Knight who donated the money and those who bought and distributed the items!

Father O'Hanlon Council hosted the State Knights of Columbus Soccer Challenge on Nov 19, 2016 in State College. The council has hosted this event for the 12th year in a row. More information can be found here

Alex Geidroc was our Honoree at the First Degree class on September 7th.  Alex is a PGK and former Club President. Alex turned 85 on that date and we presented him a gift of appreciation.  We welcomed four new members.

The Council received a community service award from the district deputy at the May council meeting. The award was announced at the State Convention held in Erie PA and recognizes the exceptional community service provided by the members of council 4678

The Knights of Columbus held its Annual Baby Bottle Campaign to benefit the Gabriel Project. Bottles were distributed  starting Mother’s Day Weekend. Proceeds from this year’s campaign will support 28 babies and mothers. The Gabriel Project is a local pro-life movement offering parish-based pastoral care to women in a crisis pregnancy.

Council 4678 provided much of the volunteers for the aquatics competition at the PA Special Olympics held June 3rd and 4th on the Penn State campus. Each year Knights and their families help at the two-day event.

Please welcome are two newest Knights,  Tom Hauser (left middle) and Father Antony Sudherson of OLV Church (left middle).  Here they are flanked by Membership Chairman Bob Hershey and GK Dennis Marince. Father Antony will serve as Chaplain of the council.
