Upcoming Events:


Council 4678 will volunteer at the aquatics events at the PA Special Olympics on June 2-4th. The events are held on the Penn State Campus. Volunteers are needed on Friday and Saturday. Contact Brother Tom Hillands to volunteer thilands@comcast.net.


Council Planning meeting will be held on June 14th at 7:30 PM.  All officers and program chairs should attend.

Brothers helping brother. Members of the council helped relocate one of their own on May 13th. Over 30 people participated. One of the crews is shown on the left. Special care was taken transporting the statue of the Blessed Mother to its new location! It was hard work, but everyone had a good time.


The Council ran a breakfast at OLV church on May 7th. The event  raised over 3300.00 for Fr. Charles’ Anawim project.  Anawim is a faith based organization whose goal is to heed the call of Christ to alleviate suffering thorough Education while providing for the unmet medical and material needs of the poorest in Nigeria. We thank the Anawim board, Boy Scout Troop 83 and Knights and family members who helped at the event


The council participated in a Fifth Sunday Rosary on Sunday April 30th after the 9:30 am Mass at Our Lady of Victory Church.  The Rosary was led by Council members after the Mass.  Thanks to Chairman Matt Hunt and the members and their families who participated.


Annual Easter Egg Hunt was held on Saturday April 15th. Thank you to our Chairman, Randy Fisher, Boy Scout Troop 83 and all the other volunteers that made the event a success.


The Council raised over 1000.00 for the Diocesan Seminarian Fund working a concession stand at the Blue/White Game April 22nd.


FR. O'Hanlon Council completed its degree schedule for the fraternal year. Council #4678 hosted a First Degree and Second Degree on March 19th, seven received the Initiation Degree and sixteen received the Formation Degree on that date.  Also thirty seven new members were received into the Third Degree on Sunday March 26th.  We will be putting together our new Degree Schedule in the coming weeks.


The council and the Red Cross held its February bloodmobile on Feb 14th.  47 pints were collected, exceeding our goal of 43. Good job!


The Council hosted the local youth free throw on Jan 29th and the District free throw on Feb 19








The Father O’Hanlon council will be running its annual Baby Bottle campaign to benefit Project Gabriel at OLV church. The Gabriel Project is a local pro-life movement offering parish-based pastoral care to women in a crisis pregnancy. Bottles will be distributed after the weekend Masses May 13th-14th (Mother’s Day) and 20th-21st. Collection dates will be in June.

Recent Activities

Seminarian Peter Crowe received a Mass Kit from Faithful Navigator Dennis Marince as a gift from the Our Lady of Victory Fourth Degree Assembly #1945 at the May Council meeting. Father Crowe was ordained later that week in the Altoona-Johnstown diocese. The Council helped support Peter for years through the KofC RSVP program. Father Crowe is member of Fr. O'Hanlon Council and also the Fourth Degree Assembly.

Ruthie Dangelo received the Council $750 Scholarship from Mark Thorwart, Scholarship Chairman as father Dave Dangelo and Grand Knight Dennis Marince look on.  Ruthie also received the State Council Scholarship Award in the amount of $3000. She will be attending Bloomsburg University in the fall majoring in nursing.  The presentation was made prior to the May Council meeting.
